In my month long vacation in Japan, what I noticed was though it was summer, Japanese do not wear shorts. They do wear light and comfortable outfit but never showing skin. They even have that arm stockings aside from putting exaggerated amount of sunscreen and big hats. Mae-chan (my cousin) once said that Japanese skin is easy to get sunburn especially in direct sunlight that’s why it’s very rare to see them in skimpy clothing in a summer day.
Aside from their comfortable wear, I also noticed that girls love their embroidered laces. Comfortable embroidered top or long dress usually in white. My aunt even bought me one. While I was there, I received an email from my boss that we will be having an event. 10 year anniversary of our department. That’s when I decided I will wear something Japan inspired but perfect for a cocktail party.
While browsing my favorite online shopping site, SheIn.com, I already have something in mind. I know I’ve seen it in their list of dresses somewhere. Luckily, I found it.
Too bad, I didn’t order right away and now it was out of stock. 😦 😦 😦
This time, though I really like the navy blue color, I decided to go with black. It’s almost same color anyway. LOL.
This time, though I really like the navy blue color, I decided to go with black. It’s almost same color anyway. LOL. The black is $5 more expensive than the navy colored one. What can I do? For the love of lace.
Hoping that I will rock this dress! It’s really beautiful. I just need to find a matching shoes to go with it.
Here’s another shot with the embroidered lace craze when I was in Japan.
Cheers to more shopping!
